Korero from the Principal:
Kia ora koutou,
Ngā mihi nui to our wonderful Reporoa Primary School community for all of the support and encouragement you have given us this term. It is hard to believe that we are already coming to the end of Term 1!
I would like to take a moment to acknowledge our amazing staff at Reporoa Primary School. This term has brought its fair share of challenges, and our team has risen to each one with perseverance and dedication to ensure our tamariki continue to receive a quality education. From fluctuating attendance to illness, school camp, and the many new learning expectations in literacy and mathematics, our teachers have taken these demands in their stride. Their resilience and commitment are truly commendable, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such a capable and collaborative team.
Thank you once again to our whānau and wider school community for your ongoing support. We look forward to a well-deserved break and an exciting Term 2 ahead!
Ngā Manaakitanga,
Richelle
Rūma wha news:

Star of the week:
Ka rawe te mahi to Sutton and Lennox for their outstanding literacy mahi this week!
Sports:
Cluster Swimming Sports
What a mammoth effort from our seniors especially just coming off camp. The weather was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Well done to all our tamariki who participated. Zelind and James got to enjoy the pool all to themselves while we packed away, fabulous end to the day.
Rotorua Mini Marathon – Entries still open
Still taking names of those interested. Cost is $6 per child, payable to the school office. Entries close on April 11th. The marathon date has been set for May 2nd (term2). The passports are available from the office so our runners can start ticking off their km’s. Always a great event.
Cluster Summer Sports
It is a tabloid type of day held with kura from our cluster, we are looking for parent helpers for both the Junior and senior team. This will support our tamariki to get the best out of the day. Please let me know if you are available to help.
Soccer Interest
Unfortunately, Reporoa Valley Soccer will not be up and running this year. If there are any players still booking for a team you can try Westbrook Football Club or Lake City Football in Rotorua, both are willing to take players on for this season. Ngā mihi to Tracey for her efforts.
Up and coming events
Cluster Summer Sports – Wednesday 9th April
Mini Marathon – Friday 2nd May
Fell Cup – Wednesday 7th may
Ngā mihi nui

From the Board of Trustees:
A friendly reminder that there are only two days left to fill in the Vision Survey that was sent out via HERO. This is an important opportunity to have your say on the future direction of our school. The Board will carefully consider the results and use them to update the vision for Reporoa Primary School. Your voice matters, so please take a moment to share your thoughts!
We are also excited about the ongoing building work happening at school through the Nga Iti Kahurangi Project (Improving Classrooms). This project includes the installation of acoustic ceiling panels, an electrical socket upgrade, and an LED lighting upgrade. These improvements will enhance the learning environment for our children and support their education in a modern, well-equipped space.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more updates soon.

Presiding Member
Two more days to complete the Survey from the board in your HERO app!
The Board of trustees is seeking some feedback about a new vision for our kura/school. Over the past year they have been looking into what a great vision should be.
A great vision statement is clear, concise, inspiring, and forward-looking, outlining a desired future state and motivating stakeholders to work towards it. Please help us decide by choosing which statement you think best reflects what Reporoa Primary School is trying to achieve.
The new vision statement will be supported by our mission statement – We are learner focused, inclusive & supported by positive partnerships.
And our values – We are Respectful, Engaged, Positive and Striving (We use our REPS)
ALL RESPONSES TO THIS SURVEY WILL GO IN THE DRAW TO WIN A FAMILY PASS TO WAIKITE HOT POOLS!
The survey will close on the 4th March. We look forward to having your input!
OPEN your HERO APP to answer the survey question!
