Korero from the Principal:
Kia ora koutou,
What an incredible few weeks we’ve had at Reporoa Primary School! It has been action-packed, full of exciting events, and a true testament to the amazing support we receive from our school whānau and wider community.
Our Junior Swimming Demonstrations were a fantastic success, with a great turnout of parents and whānau who came along to celebrate our youngest swimmers. It was wonderful to see our tamariki gaining confidence in the water and showcasing their skills.
The Senior Swimming Sports over at the college pool was another highlight of the week. Our senior students displayed great determination, sportsmanship, and skill in the pool. A big thank you to our staff and helpers who ensured the event ran smoothly.
Adding to the fortnight’s activities, some our students had the privilege of visiting Mataarae Marae. These visits provided an enriching cultural experience and a valuable opportunity for our tamariki to connect with the stories, history, and values of the marae.
To top it all off, today we held a hugely successful Car Wash and Bake Sale to raise funds for the Senior Camp. A massive thank you to the businesses that supported us by sending their vehicles down to be washed, and to the entire community for turning up to support our efforts. Your generosity and involvement are truly appreciated! A special thank you also to our parent helpers who mucked in and assisted with quality control—we couldn’t have done it without you!
On top of all this, our dedicated teaching staff are working tirelessly to implement two new curricula, engaging in professional learning on top of their already full workloads. Their commitment to ensuring our tamariki achieve success in their learning is truly commendable. Our team rocks!
Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to making this such a fantastic week. We are incredibly lucky to have such a strong, supportive school community.
Ngā Manaakitanga,
Richelle
Rūma tahi and Rūma rua news:
Car Wash Prep
This week Rūma Tahi and Rūma Rua have been learning how to wash a car in preparation for our camp fundraiser. The tamariki have had lots of hands-on learning and we are confident they are going to clean those cars well.
Post car wash
Our car wash was a huge success. Thank you to the following businesses for supporting us and to the many community members who also came down and got their car washed! We made lots of dollars (still counting it) for our senior camp! Thanks also to our parents who came along to help our teachers and us wash the cars!
Rep Tech, Vet Plus, Farm Source, Repco Rotorua, Valley Agri, Miers, Ritchies, Reporoa Food Market, Reporoa Community Patrol, Reporoa Police, Fuel for Schools.

Star of the week:
Ka rawe te mahi to our assembly wheel spin winners for showing their REPS (Respectful, Engaged, Positive and Striving). Zeanna and Fletcher P spun principal for the day and did a fabulous job of running the school. Although they nearly left us short staffed as the teachers requested the day off! Cara spun a milkshake and Lyra spun a juicy.

Sports:
School Swimming Sports
What an awesome day! The juniors did a wonderful job at demonstrating what they have been learning during swimming time. Lots of gadgets that encourage each of them to become confident in the water. Our seniors headed off to the college to compete. We are very proud of the participation and effort of our seniors, we have seen great progress in their swimming stroke techniques.
