Korero from the Principal:
Kia ora e te whanau. Next week we are excited to be inviting you to share in some Matariki celebrations with us. This is an opportunity to bring some kai (food) to school that is special to your family. We will also be having hangi provided by Ka Pai Kai. Our classrooms will be open for the afternoon for you to share in some Matariki activities and enjoy spending time with your tamaiti wandering through the rooms. I love days like this when we can engage with our community and have conversations about your hopes and dreams for your whanau. Please see the flyer below for more information. I do hope to see you there!
The following week, on Tuesday from 3:30pm and Wednesday from 9am, we have our annual Student Learning Conferences. This is an opportunity for your child to share their progress with you alongside their teacher. Get in early by clicking on the link below or scanning the QR code to get your first choice of time! We always aim for 100% attendance at these important hui’s. Teachers will follow up with you by phone if you have not made a booking later in the week. Please call the office if you are having any issues making a booking and the office staff will make it for you.
Nga mihi nui

Mid Year Reporting:
On Friday the 28th June (Matariki) our Mid Year Reports will go live. These are online. You will need a HERO log in to read it and will receive an email alert. Instructions are at the bottom of every newsletter on how to log in to the HERO app.
This year we have added reporting on our values (our REPS – Respectful, Engaged, Positive, and Striving). Check our how your child displays these values at school and what their next goals are to improve further. You will also find progress in Reading, Writing and Maths. This is followed by attendance data and a comment from your child’s teacher. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with the classroom teacher to discuss. You are also more than welcome to come in and see me!
