Nga mihi nui ki a koutou katoa – warm greetings to everyone
Welcome to week 4 of term 2. What a full on sporting week we have had! It’s great to have so many activities going on. Please be sure to stay informed.
ERO:
On Friday the Board of Trustees and I met with Michelle Thurlow, our lead review officer for our up and coming ERO review. This week I will be organising timetables and meetings scheduled for week 7 (starting the 11th June) when we will be hosting ERO in our school.
ERO will be looking at equity, excellence and acceleration in our school. They will specifically be looking into what we do to assist our children that are not achieving where they should be. The board, teachers and I have been engaged in some self review to assist ERO in their investigation.
Office staff:
Mrs J changed size and shape on Tuesday! Boy did we get a surprise! She was still very friendly but didn’t do much of her work in the office. We were thankful that she decided to return to her usual charming and cheerful self after a little while!
Stars of the week:
Ka Rawe te mahi (awesome work) to Maddison who is making such amazing progress in her writing!
Thank You…
A big thanks from Hennesy, Doug and Tyler for those people who assisted in donating baking for Tuesday’s bake sales and those who bought their car along to be washed. The are off to their Hillary outdoors camp in early June and really appreciate the help with raising money for this!
Thank you to those people who gave their time and energy last Friday working in the Outdoor Garden, weed eating, weeding and making a fabulous inroad on Mound 3. We need as many hands as possible to lay down the cardboard and mulch to put the ground to bed for winter. You don’t have wait for an official working day – come down and spend an hour or two with a friend. Check in with Susannah 027 366 9867. Next meeting/working time is scheduled for next Thursday after school. We need wheelbarrows or carts to shift some mulch.

Cross Country:
Congratulations to the following children for their place in our school cross country. The team for cluster have been selected and newsletters have gone out. Please note, we don’t always take third place in the younger age groups.
